-- The Department of Labor and Employment
(DOLE) in close coordination with the
Philippine Overseas Employment Adminsitration
(POEA) will be conducting a Local and
Overseas Jobs Fair at the City Gymnasium
here on March 14, Saturday.
The jobsfair will start
on 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the
afternoon, according to Labor Officer
Mario Tictic. This is in support to the
People's Government Mobile Action (PGMA)
Serbisyo Muna, one of the priority projects
to help the unemployed and dipalced workers
land a job.
PGMA Serbisyo Muna, under
the guidance of Philippine Amusement and
Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) will cater
applicants who wanted to work overseas
and local employment are required to bring
along their resume, training certificate,
employment certificate, if any, college
diploma, National Bureau of Investigation
(NBI) clearance, passport for overseas
applicants and other relevant employment
documents, Tictic disclosedin an interview
here.
A Call Center Company
(APAC) will also join the one-day jobsfair,
hence, interested applicants as call center
agents and human resource staff are invited
to apply, Tictic said.
At least 6 employment
agencies based in Tacloban City and 2
service centers for local employment confirmed
to participate in the jobs fair. They
are the 10th Story Place Agency Inc; Mothers
Way Employment Agency; New Era Placement
Agency, Inc. ; Pacific Meditterenian Int'l.
Manpower Agency; Treasure of Hope Int'l.
and Unijobs Int'l. Manpower Services Corp.
for overseas employment.
While for local employment
agencies include APAC Customer Service,
Inc. and Leyte Academic Center.
Tictic said that the one-day
affair will be also coordinated by the
local government unit, After Maasin ity,
the team will proceed to Northern Samar
